Youth Leadership Movement is a ministry designed to develop a network of equipped youth outreach organizations to serve low-income, at-risk youth residing in underserved Dallas neighborhoods. It provides in-depth weekly training and technical assistance to strengthen the ability of these organizations to become sustainable and impact their community. As a recipient of the federal grant Communities Empowering Youth, the YLM also serves and assists 29 organizations devoted to reducing gang violence among youth. The YLM provides pro bono training for these organizations on a monthly basis. Through the YLM, leadership development among multicultural Dallas youth is also fostered through a youth governing board named Youth Leadership Council. The YLC's vision is to develop today's youth into becoming tomorrow's leaders. This is undertaken by assisting young people in discovering their unique purpose in life, cultivating the talents and strengths they possess, developing character, and their ability to positively influence their generation.
