THE FORMAT

SPIRIT TALKS

Each Ring of Hope facility begins the same way- a group discussion with our students It's important our students are not only trained physically. but also emotionally and spiritually. Ring of Hope Spirit Coaches facilitate nightly 15-minute conversations between staff and students which cover an array of topics, such as discussing our hopes. dreams. fears, and faith. Essentially. Spirit Coaches share life Lessons derived from their own personal experiences and biblical principles to develop the minds and hearts of our students

BOXING PROGRAM

After we have our Spirit Talk and a light warm-up. Ring of Hope transitions into teaching our unique boxing program. which is broken up into 3 Levels The head coach Leads 3 to 4 rounds of constructive shadow boxing where specific techniques are focused on for the evening Each student gets the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of pugilism as our coaches explain the ·why·s· or each technique Our program teaches our students that through humility and patience. they can achieve their goals

PHYSICAL TRAINING

After several rounds of our boxing program, the Head Coach leads the training portion of the program Training includes everything from basic calisthenics to sparring Typical training includes additional work with coaches on the mitt. heavy bag. speed bag. and double end bag This builds up the strength and conditioning while also providing more opportunities for our students to hone their skills Physical training teaches our students sacrifice, accountability. and respect-not only for the demands of the sport, but for life itself
